Free Food for College of Marin Students
Access to food is no longer a monetary problem for some College of Marin students. A new program is allowing students to access food for free on campus, simply by providing their name and college ID number. Every Wednesday between 11am and 2pm, Student Health Services provides around 200 students with free food that includes protein, fiber, fruits and vegetables. A menu has been designed for college students and donated by the Marin Food Bank. Mrs. Buckley, Medical Assistant at Student Health Services, says the food giveaway provides people who need it, a chance to get a healthy meal.
Again, the food giveaway program happens every Wednesday between 11am and 2pm. Students must sign in with their college number to get access to this benefit.
